I don’t wish to join the military. I’d love to work abroad in a summer camp or something, but I don’t want to become a tour guide or cruise ship member, you understand? I was thinking more like old-world sailor or working on some kind of research vessel not filled with tourists. Or an on-land traveling research expedition. The trouble is, I only have an AA degree and only have average-joe skills. But I work really hard.
With only an AA degree it might be tough to get a job abroad. Try applying to the US Peace Corps. I did that and while it was a tough 27 months, it was the adventure that changed my life the most so far. I’m living in Europe and I am a teacher of English as a foreign language. Give it a try. But I’ll warn you now: it’s difficult to get in.
