So much food is wasted on cruises every year..
Maybe cruise companies can start donating wasted food at ports?
What’s wrong with donating the food at the port areas for human consumption in really poor countries?
If it’s going to be thrown out anyway, why not?

How would you do that…just take all the left over food and scrape it into a big barrel and when you got to a port…just dropped it off and say here ya go?
Most of the food that is thrown is food that was prepared that was on someones plate that they didn’t eat. And if you think someone is going to take the time to separate that…you’re crazy.
    And “wastage” isn’t a word.

I don’t understand why you keep asking the same question over and over again. Once is enough. But to answer your question again, because of health reasons and the food and drug laws, the cruise companies can not give away food that has been cooked. Ask any restaurant and they will say the same thing.
